Coastal Immunology and Allergy Clinic provides emotional and psychological support of disease and allergy management.
Once a person is diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, they can experience a mixture of relief and fear. There may be relief that the condition is finally known, that there’s a name for what they have, and that treatments are available. At the same time, there can be fear and distress.
Living with a chronic illness can be isolating. Coastal Immunology and allergy clinic encourages you to seek support for you and your family at all stages of the illness experience.
While your GP and our Immunologists can help you manage the medical complications of your illness, our counsellor can help you and your family members cope with the day-to-day aspects of living with your autoimmune illness. They can also help you manage stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict, communication problems, and caregiving issues associated with the illness.
