Dr Samra trained in medicine at Panjab University, graduating in 1997 (MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) and went on to undertake Paediatric training, gaining his MD Paediatrics in 2002, and then gaining his Fellowship into the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (General Paediatrics and Paediatric Emergency Medicine) in 2015 (FRACP). He completed his Masters of Public Health (University of Newcastle) in 2013.
Since 2015 Dr Samra has worked as Locum Staff Specialist and VMO Paediatrician at Canterbury Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital Westmead, and more recently at Gosford District Hospital and Wyong Hospital, as well as working in the private sector.
Dr Samra brings over 19 years of experience in clinical paediatrics to his role as consultant Paediatrician at Coastal Immunology and allergy clinic.
Dr Samra has a special interest in asthma, eczema and other allergic conditions, behavioural problems, newborn conditions including feeding issues, complex seizure disorders, weight and other endocrine problems including diabetes.
In his spare time, Dr Samra enjoys all sports, especially badminton.
